OBJECT_DESCRIPTION_EN :

This character clearly represents an old fisherman, where the sculpture of his face is based on his wrinkles and where his costume refers to a traditional fishing costume. The puppet has all the characteristics of the character's age imprinted on it, and aims to symbolically and metaphorically empathize with the real world.

Here we are approaching realism, provoked by the movement, weight, and speech of the puppet. This character never ceases to be an old fisherman who lives by the sea.

So this is a clear example of a universe transported to a small scale and which aims to create a narrative that leads us to an understanding of the experiences of a fisherman. Experiences by the sea, longings, beliefs, knowledge, creating empathy with the audience, but never abandoning this clear intention to bring to the show a real tribute to the fishing community.

OBJECT_CONTEXT_EN :

This creation was born as result of the relationship the company has established with the fishing community of Espinho.
