OBJECT_DESCRIPTION_EN :
The Pedro puppet was built to the scale of the puppeteer's hand using a glove. The head rests on the wrist and the hand remains in a vertical position with its back to the stage. The index and middle fingers are used to move the feet and the thumb to move the figure's left arm. In this way it is possible to create a dynamic of walking, looking and moving the arm, giving it a more complete dimension in its quality of movement. Since the puppeteer's hand is inside the glove, one of the characteristics of this puppet is that it has a pronounced belly, which gives it a naïve and childlike character.
This puppet is manipulated at different levels on the manipulator's body and its movement is symbolic, with the puppet being able to run, jump, fly or even dive, in a dynamic game. It is also possible for the puppet to hold various figures throughout the show that support the narrative.
OBJECT_CONTEXT_EN :
Taken from the book by the writer Pedro Seromenho, this puppet was inspired by Paulo Galindro's drawings. The premise was that there should be an identification between the figure drawn and the three-dimensional puppet presented in the show.
