OBJECT_DESCRIPTION_EN :
The police officer appears during roberto's theater performances. The Policeman comes to arrest Roberto on suspicion of having murdered the Barber. In a game of baton where Roberto and the Policeman fight, the latter ends up succumbing to the first's blows in a dynamic, frenetic and intense game. It should be noted that this figure, in the period of the old Salazar regime, was only traditionally represented when the agents of authority were not present in the performance spaces, typically open-air places where these traditional representations took place for a large audience. The story tells of an incident that led to a puppeteer being arrested with his puppet, after which only the puppeteer was released and the puppet was held captive. This story has a certain poetic feel to it, a fabrication of this narrative, knowing the reality of a time when freedom of expression was limited.
This character's props include a whistle to mark his entrance and a staff that is different from the rest, which is his usual prop. The shades of blue refer to the color used today by the national police authorities. Since the paradigm of freedom of expression has changed, it is possible to create a game without any presumption of offending society, but just a playful dynamic for the audience.
