OBJECT_DESCRIPTION_EN :

This puppet represents individuals who live metaphorically underground, suggesting a sense of isolation, imprisonment and a life that is not truly authentic, in a show that addresses the questions of existence and the search for identity.

The strip of fabric wrapped around the head conceals a tulip, and can be interpreted as a metaphor for hiding one's true nature in order to adapt or survive in a hostile environment.

The puppet's expression is both threatening and anguished, in a visual representation of the internal conflict and suffering experienced by those who have to live under the oppressive weight of social norms.

The creation of the puppet's head involved making a mold of the face of one of the actors in the show, Alexandre Sá, and then accentuating its features. This technique provides a realistic and expressive basis for the puppet, as many of the subtleties of human facial features have been preserved.

OBJECT_CONTEXT_EN :

In a society where conformity is often valued over individuality, many people can feel compelled to suppress their true selves, leading them to forget their true identity. This narrative is in keeping with the works of Hieronymus Bosch, set in a grotesque and obscurantist universe.
